At 4 p.m., police responded to the 10 block of N. Wood Ave. and found a 26-year-old Linden resident suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen, police said. He was treated at the scene and transported to Newark University Hospital, police said.
Michael Yensi was charged with attempted murder in the first degree, aggravated assault in the second degree and several weapons charges, police said. He was being held in the Essex County Jail pending a court appearance, police said.
